What Makes The Smart Stash Case Work?

A smell proof bag is no good, if it doesn't eliminate smells.

Although there are many smell proof brands to choose from, if you are serious about eliminating odor: then you need a bag that actually works.

The 8x6x3 Smart Stash case has been tested with up to three ounces of product inside. No smell. The trick is our proprietary activated carbon lining inside the case.

The carbon lining works by chemically binding odor particles. In other words, the case sucks up odor like a vacuum. And, because of the porous nature of carbon, the case takes an extremely long time for its carbon pores to "fill up."

Additionally, when the pores do fill up (say, after a year or so of daily use), all you have to do is open the case and leave it in direct sunlight. The sunlight will break the odiferous bonds and free the carbon pores. Smart Stash bags essentially last a lifetime!

What Makes Our Bags Different?

Yes, all smell proof brands use activated charcoal to line their bags. However, not all activated charcoal is the same.

Upgrade From Thin Fabric - Weatherproof Cases

Unlike most of the other smell proof cases out there, that use 600D polyester: Smart Stash cases use 1680D polyester.

What does this mean?

Polyester is the most widely used textile in our every day lives, and comes in several thicknesses or deniers (D): 210D, 300D, 400D, 500D, 600D and so on.

210D and 300D are light weight fabrics, and commonly used for products like bike or motorcycle covers.

600D is a strong material, and mostly commonly used for backpacks (think JanSport). It's not necessarily waterproof, but can be, depending on the coating used. I would say 600D is more water-resistant than waterproof.

1080D is an extremely strong material. Depending on the coating used with 600D (PVC or PU, for example), 1680D is anywhere from 1.2-2.7x stronger than 600D fabric.

So the next time you go to buy that Ozchin case (yes, we just called them out), remember that their cheap product uses 600D polyester, likely with weaker PU coating (and a less-than-smell-proof carbon lining).
